Double Major

Students may find that even after they complete all University General Education and major requirements that they still have hours to complete to reach the 122 hour graduation requirement. In this case students should consider a double major.

Students completing two majors within the College of Sociology and Behavioral Science will find that it is easier than they might think. Each CSBS major requires allied work in related SBS fields. When you double major, the requirements for one major will fulfill the allied in the other. For example if you are considering double majoring in Sociology and Psychology then your upper-division Psychology work will fulfill the allied requirement for Sociology and your upper-division Sociology work will fulfill the allied requirement for Psychology. It is worth looking into if you wind up with an abundance of elective credit to take.

For a full list of allied departments see the back of the Sociology major form.
