The Department of Sociology’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee is committed to:
- fostering and advocating for equity, diversity and inclusion in curriculum, programming, and our departmental community
- serving as liaison between students, faculty, and staff with ideas and concerns related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- offering information and resources to students, staff, and faculty to foster a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive campus, and
- standing with disenfranchised communities in ongoing liberation struggles for human rights on campus and off.
The committee is comprised of representatives from the faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students in Sociology and Criminology majors.
